Although, when you compare this to the paid Crosshair X, these configurations are minimal.Īs noted, this program only works on borderless or windowed full-screen mode and not on full-screen. Here, you can configure the crosshair by changing between three different sizes, six shapes, and seven neon colors. On the left side of the screen are the settings options. Once downloaded and launched, you can immediately see the crosshair on your screen. The app comes with a simple interface for easier usage. As mentioned, it is a crosshair overlay that works on almost any Windows 10 game. Luckily, there are many crosshair overlays that you can use for your game. However, not many offer customizable ones. To date, many first-person shooters come with it. Crosshairs are a vital part of any shooter game as having such will improve your aim to eliminate your opponents.

It’s safe to say this is one of the most popular reasons people use face rollers. Zeichner reminds us that despite claims that rollers can help stimulate blood flow to the face, this benefit is still considered unclear and unproven. Using face rollers can stimulate blood flow to your face, possibly brightening up your look (think: that glowy look you get after a tough workout). So next time you wake up and your face looks a little swollen or puffy (like after a spirited long night out), a facial massage might help drain any stagnant lymphatic fluid and bring that puffiness down. Some experts believe these benefits are the result of improved blood and lymphatic flow. TBH, there’s not a lot of evidence that your body needs help with this process unless you have lymphatic dysfunction (aka lymphedema, which is either hereditary or the result of surgeries where lymph nodes are removed).īut still, a small study found that facial massage reduced facial sagging in the majority of the study’s participants, who were all healthy volunteers. Your body does this all the time to keep you safe from infections (and hella swelling) - it’s called lymphatic drainage. Your lymph vessels are kinda like blood vessels, but they transport lymph (aka fluid) from diff tissues in your body to your lymph nodes to get filtered out. “They provide a benefit similar to a lymphatic massage,” he says.īasically, a lymphatic massage involves applying pressure to the skin in stroking motions to stimulate your lymph vessels. Reduce facial puffinessĪs Zeichner explains, when used properly and in the direction of lymphatic flow, face rollers can reduce puffiness. What other evidence do we have that facial rollers might have legit benefits? Let’s take a look. The pressure of the roller on the skin is thought to enhance lymphatic flow to eliminate excess fluid.” “As they are applied to the skin, the cold temperatures constrict blood vessels and minimize inflammation. “Rollers are typically created with cool stones,” he explains. “Despite their popularity, we, unfortunately, have little data on the true effectiveness of facial rollers,” Zeichner says. Joshua Zeichner, Associate Professor of Dermatology and the Director of Cosmetic & Clinical Research in Dermatology at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. To learn more about rollers, we chatted with Dr. The science behind facial massages is a little skimpy at the moment, so the benefits are more anecdotal than anything right now. Ĭompaq introduced its own short lived subnotebook line in 1994 called Contura Aero, notable for using a battery which was intended to be standard rather than only useful for Compaq products. in 1995, Tosbiba introduced the Libretto 20, with a 6.1″ screen CNet reported about the Libretto 50CT that " is the first full-fledged Windows 95 notebook in the United States weighing less than two pounds". Toshiba, also entered the market that year with the Portege T3400 and T3400CT, claiming that "It's the first subnotebook computer with all the functionality of a much larger computer" the T3400CT was the first subnotebook with a color screen. Īpple and Compaq did label their machines as "subnotebooks" in this period, but the PowerBook Duo and Compaq LTE Lite otherwise qualify, and both lines were among the first to broadly popularize docking stations.Īnother early model was the Hewlett-Packard OmniBook 300, which was launched as a "superportable" in 1993 it was one of the first examples to use a flash memory disk instead of a hard drive, to reduce the weight. There were also a few notable smaller-than subnotebook PCs at this time, including the Atari Portfolio and HP 95LX - both very small MS-DOS machines, roughly comparable in size to later handheld PCs.Īt the end of 1992, PCMag magazine described two models as subnotebooks: these were the Gateway HandBook the Dell 320SLi (both less than a 1.6 kg weight), and another was released in Italy: the Olivetti Quaderno. The term may have been first applied to the NEC UltraLite, unveiled in 1988 - although its dimensions (1.4" × 8.3" × 11.75") were very similar to the Compaq LTE, but slightly lighter (4.4 lb (2.0 kg)). Starting around this time, portables with noticeably smaller form factors sometimes referred as subnotebooks. In 1990 the Compaq release was followed by IBM PS/2 note and PS/55note lines (later, in October 1992 they was replaced by the first IBM ThinkPad), and by the relatively compact Sharp PC-6220 model. The Compaq LTE, launched in 1989, was the first to be widely known as a "notebook computer" because its relatively small dimensions - 48 × 220 × 280 mm (1.9 × 8.5 × 11 inches) - matched those of a pair of stacked US Letter (similar to A4) size paper notebooks. Either could be regarded as an early subnotebook. Its later sibling the Tandy 200 was a clam-shell design and smaller than contemporary laptops. The TRS-80 Model 100 from 1983 was one of the first mass-market portable computers, and was smaller than the clam-shell machines of the same era it used a slate form factor, with no hinge and the keyboard and screen on the same plane. Subnotebooks relative to other laptop marketing terms One notable form-factor of subnotebook-oriented docks were "slice docks" - a more transportable version of classic docking station. They were also some of the first systems which could be paired with docking stations to compensate. The savings in size and weight were often achieved partly by omitting ports, and these were typically the first machines to omit optical disc drives or on some of the earliest models, floppy disk drives. They were distinguished by smaller screens and bodies and lighter weights relative to contemporaneous laptops. Prior to this convergence, subnotebooks were also distinguished from netbooks and ultra-mobile PCs, based on both size and market position.Ĭlassic subnotebooks were smaller than full sized laptops but larger than handheld computers. To the extent that it still exists, 'subnotebook' could be defined as machines with screen smaller than 13" but with a permanently-attached keyboard intended for two-handed typing. Types and sizes Sizes of classic subnotebooks (2001's ThinkPad s30, 10.4") and early netbooks (2008's Eee PC 901, 8.9") note to reduced keycaps sizeĪs typical laptop sizes have decreased over the course of the 2010s, and other distinguishing features have become mainstream, the distinction between regular-size and 'subnotebook' laptops has largely disappeared. Subnotebook, also called ultraportable, superportable, or mini notebook, was a marketing term for laptop computers that are smaller and lighter than a typical notebook-sized laptop. I'd rather have the Colbalt then over the Saturn. I can't comfortably afford the new GTO as badly as I want it. Fun fun fun, but you'll have to wait one more year of course.Īs far my opinion on the General going Compact Tuner, hate to say this but if insurance costs keep going up on the V-8's like they are a kids only option unless he or she has a wallet stuffed with serious cash, is a hopped up 4banger. The better of the motors to me is the 2.4 that already makes a good 170hp without any power adders, new headers, intake and exhaust would jump it to 200hp then slap a s/cer on there for at least 250hp. followed later on by a 215+hp s/ced motor. From what I hear, the base motor will remain to be the 140hp 2.2, then a 2.4 170hp Eco. You might want to wait till the Colbalt comes out, since alot of people don't like the center gauge idea. I think GM came a little late on delivering this product, but its good news for Ecotec owners with the supercharger. I really do not think it will deter young drivers from the import market and I am not overly impressed with all the instrument gauging in the center of the car. Also they went with more of a import tuner look, which is popular, but is not GM's image. The Dodge SRT-4 is in the same ball park money wise and carries an extra 30HP and carries the same horsepower of the bit more money but naturally aspirated Acura RSX Type S. It's a step in the right direction for GM, but when the competition continuously comes out with something more powerful in the same price range, they cannot compete. Engine : 4 cylinder, supercharged DOHC, front engine FWDĦ0-0 braking distance : 125 ft(estimated) The iron sledgehammer and the woodcutter’s axe don’t have much in the way of power, but (at least based on our experience) they’re among the toughest weapons in the game. They stink for fighting almost everything - except the weakest of enemies. In Breath of the Wild, we’re always on the lookout for two crappy weapons to keep in our inventory - though, to be fair, thinking of them as weapons is the wrong way to approach it. The best crappy weapons for fighting and breaking The point? Let your worst weapon take the abuse, and save your better weapons for more powerful enemies where chipping down HP is essential, and every hit chips off more HP. That includes everything from Keeses to the brownish-red variety of Bokoblins and everything from the smallest skeletons to giant Moblin monsters. Keeping a weapon that’s significantly less powerful than your other weapons means you can quickly pull it out for confrontations with the low-level enemies that roam Hyrule. Don’t let their size fool you: Moblin skeletons have 1 HP, too All that matters is that it’s less powerful and, therefore, more expendable. Maybe that’s a low-powered club or a weak sword. There’s a corollary to this advice, too: It may seem counterintuitive, but you should carry at least one (relatively) crappy weapon. In short, use the right weapon for the right enemy. Given that every hit in Breath of the Wild inches a weapon one step closer to explosion (and the best you can do is find random duplicates or reforge some select weapons), then it makes sense to equip your least powerful (and likely least favorite) weapon. And that pretty much means that any weapon you have will do. To kill it with a single hit, you need a weapon that does at least 1 HP of damage. This keese is on fire, and it still only has 1 HPĬonsider the annoying, bat-like Keese. Put differently, don’t waste your powerful weapons - clubs, swords, spears, bows, arrows - on weak enemies. Who’s deserving? The toughest monsters - the ones with the most hit points. Our entire strategy rests on this premise: You should save your best, favorite and most powerful weapons for the enemies that deserve them. But are things you can do to make your favorite and most powerful weapons last longer. Every time you swing a club or sword, thrust a spear or sling a bow, the durability lowers, and you’re one step closer to watching your weapon disintegrate into glowing blue shards. Breath of the Wild’s weapons sometimes seem like they’re made of glass (where by “sometimes,” we mean “at every conceivable moment.”).
